Letterpress Invitations
POSTED ON: Monday, 23 July 2012 @ 13:11 | 0 comments
A few weeks ago I received an invitation to a wedding. Before I had even opened the Letterpress envelope, I immediately started judging. "Why would anyone go to this much effort for an invitation. Why would they spend a fortune. They have tried too hard.."
It wasn't a great first impression!
...
I am now obsessed.
These are obviously A LOT better than the one I received, the last one is amazing!

I should probably look into what will be in season April before I get ahead of myself and fixated on a particular bloom! But unfortunately that's just not how I work!
Next obsession..Peonies! They're so full & feminine (most flowers are, but these seem more so than others!)
Invite Delight

I already have a fair idea of what I want the invites to look like. But drawing on further inspiration never hurt anyone :)
The theme is Secret Garden, so am focusing more on natural tones & textures.
I love the pocket/ wallet layout of the one below!
I love the variation in fonts above. Both the size, style and weight. How cute is the food choice on the reply card! Definitely look to have something similar on mine :)
The thought has never really crossed my mind to have fabric invitations. But after seeing these, I must say I'm actually considering it!

Dahlias would also look absolutely beautiful! They're so understated yet create a great focal point. Natural & whimsical, they will go perfect with the rustic/ vintage, garden theme! Can't wait :)

Appointment with the florist is fast approaching and I still don't know what style of flowers I want to go for.Picking flowers is going to be the most difficult part!
Kind of thinking Astilbe blooms for the bridesmaids. They create a real whimsical feel, and will go perfect if the girls end up wearing white :)
