I'm back!
POSTED ON: Tuesday, 2 October 2012 @ 14:33 | 0 comments
The sun is shining, I have exposed my almost translucent legs.. Summer is coming!
With the weather warming, it's probably the wrong time to develop a sudden obsession with white (due to all the tan and bronzer I will be wearing to combat my Casper syndrome). But I just can't get enough of WHITE..
That light shade.
Those floorboards & that coffee table!
This entire room.
Those walls.
The coffee table! Amazing.
Those light fixtures & ceiling.
Pops of colour don't hurt either :)

With the packing and cleaning and attempting to sort my life before the big move, I have not been posting anything! Bad form.
But I find it's mainly due to my current state of unemployment! Which by the way, is oh so good! Second week in and I honestly don't know how I will go back to work in a couple of weeks..
These walls and ceiling. here.
Absolutely EVERYTHING in the above two images. The rustic dining table, the dark floors contrasting against the stark whiteness of the space, THE LIGHT FEATURE! here.

This is actually amazing! Don't think I would colour co-ordinate mine though, but still an absolutely brilliant idea.

Letterpress Invitations
POSTED ON: Monday, 23 July 2012 @ 13:11 | 0 comments
A few weeks ago I received an invitation to a wedding. Before I had even opened the Letterpress envelope, I immediately started judging. "Why would anyone go to this much effort for an invitation. Why would they spend a fortune. They have tried too hard.."
It wasn't a great first impression!
...
I am now obsessed.
These are obviously A LOT better than the one I received, the last one is amazing!

Thanks to d.Sharp for this one!
Brilliant idea, never have I thought to do is! And now the more I think about it, I honestly don't know how I have lived on this planet for 23 years and not come up with this myself!
Amazing & simple :)
How To:
- Clip the lower corners off envelopes. We will use them as bookmarks that slip over the corner of a page.
- Can definitely see them coming handy with magazines, marking out a favourite feature.

I already have a fair idea of what I want the invites to look like. But drawing on further inspiration never hurt anyone :)
The theme is Secret Garden, so am focusing more on natural tones & textures.
I love the pocket/ wallet layout of the one below!
I love the variation in fonts above. Both the size, style and weight. How cute is the food choice on the reply card! Definitely look to have something similar on mine :)
The thought has never really crossed my mind to have fabric invitations. But after seeing these, I must say I'm actually considering it!

Weekend was filled with coastal runs, strong coffees and blankets. Perfection :)
Now for some Monday Inspiration!
Unearthed from the Design Files are snippets of Melbourne artist and illustrator, Paula Mills' home.
You would never think that it was a rental property! Gives me hope for my new home to be and just how quirky & unique I can make it.
